What do you think of stuff like this:

Subject: {firstname}, on Sunday at exactly...

Body:

On Sunday At Exactly 12:00 PM EST I will be sending you a very important email.

This may be one of the most important emails I ever send you. In fact, it may be the most important email you ever get from anyone!

Blah blah blah..

People say that this type of thing really increases response rates, but I would like to know what you think.

It's the idea of generating interest and desire (or pre-selling), but I am just wondering what you think of receiving 10 or 20 of these messages over a three day span for the same "opportunity".

Is it still as effective as it used to be, when there were only a few "people in the know"?

Do you even open these types of emails?
